Apostles Creed

I believe in God the Father Almighty,
maker of heaven and earth;
And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord:
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, dead, and buried;
the third day he rose from the dead;
he ascended into heaven,
and sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty;
from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and the life everlasting. Amen.

It seems as if the church has forgotten what we believe, yet we do not want to go back to the roots of what we believe. If every part of the creed is biblical, why do we ignore it? It seems like we want people to become converts and then we forget about them. We do not teach? They are to apathetic to teach themselves. Yet, we have creeds that they can work through on their own to learn what we believe as Christ followers, but we keep them from them because we do not want to seem to Catholic. That's crap! We need to worry less about our denominations and more about the fact that people are dying and going to hell because they do not Jesus and they do not know what they believe.

I guess it seems more practical to hide things to save face than to save souls!
